About Snohomish

Snohomish, Washington is a small town founded in 1858 in the beautiful Snohomish River Valley. One of the first inland towns of the Puget Sound region. Snohomish is now known as the "Antique Capital of the Northwest" and home to its own nationally registered historic district. Tourists often visit Snohomish to enjoy First Street, with its historic architecture and plentiful shops.

You will find many farms, gardens, and scenic roads south of town; while more modern development has taken place north of town, where you will find major stores and other conveniences.

Snohomish is about 30 minutes north of Seattle. Highway 2 connects Snohomish to Interstate 5 and the neighboring towns of Everett and Monroe. A 20 minute drive south along Highway 9 will bring you to the famed Woodinville wine country.
